Abigail Grace Smith (aka Abby) was diagnosed with a
medulloblastoma brain tumor at the age of 23 months old on March 3, 2006.
Dr. Roger Hudgins removed 100% of her tumor on March 6, 2006. Abby
developed posterior fossa syndrome within days after surgery. Abby has
undergone 30 days of radiation and 12 cycles (21 days on, 7 days off) of
chemotherapy. She completed her treatment in late May, 2007.
After a routine follow-up head and spine MRI, Abby has had drop metastes in her spine in multiple places. She is scheduled to start treatment again during the week of October 22nd. Abby has always handled her treatments well and made good progress. We are praying for a complete and total healing and recovery. |
